Welcome to an outdoor mushroom course in Trondheim

The focus will be on making the course participants familiar with the most common food mushrooms in Norway. It is important that participants are aware of and practice the safety rules for infection control.


It is important that you familiarize yourself with the rules for infection control before participating.

 

Program for the day:
(Meeting place will be sent to the participants)

09:00 – Gathering
The course instructor will go through myths and facts regarding mushroom foraging and general safety rules for beginners. The course instructor will be bringing mushrooms for demonstration. Characteristics of the different fungi will be explained for safe identification, as well as simple gathering techniques. Mushrooms and fungal genera that will be reviewed: Chanterelle, Scaber stalk, Boletus, Puffball, Hedgehog mushrooms, Albatrellus ovinus, Milk-cap mushrooms and Lawyer’s wig, as well as the most important poisonous mushroom

10:00 – Mushroom trip together with small stops and guidance along the way.

12:00 – Lunch outdoors with time for questions

14:00 – Mushroom trip in groups / independently

17:00 – Gathering; Review of today’s findings. Mushroom regulations and sorting together.

 

You must bring a knife, basket, food and drink, seat pads and clothes depending on the weather. Feel free to bring mushroom books if you have any.

Any course participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a course participant parent. The guardian has full and complete responsibility for the child. There must be a minimum of 10 participants for us to be able to arrange the course.

 


Infection control rules for events under the auspices of
Trondheim sopp- og nyttevekstforening


Common to all events:

  • We require mandatory registration / registration with name, email and telephone number. (People who are not registered can be rejected).
  • If you are ill or have symptoms – you stay at home
    (until you have been symptom-free for a minimum of 14 days and have tested negative for corona).
  • If you are in quarantine, you stay at home.
  • Traveled outside Norway’s borders, you stay at home
    (for a minimum of 14 days after return .You must be without symptoms during the period).
  • If you are in isolation, you stay at home.
  • You keep a distance of at least one meter
    (People in the same household can be seen as a unit, but they are counted and registered individually).
  • You do not share equipment.
  • Everyone has their own handalcohol for the trips you participate in.
  • You can not smell or taste mushrooms or wild plants that others have picked.

 

 


Courses, meetings osv.: 

  • Participants are obliged to follow rules that are common to all events
  • Participants must bring their own hand sanitizer, disposable gloves and an available mask for trips / excursions arranged in connection with the course.
  • Participants must have a face mask available. If the fungus inspectors / course leader have a face mask, they are vulnerable to infection, and the basket owner must then wear his own face mask.
  • The tour guide is responsible for infection control and calls, registers and / or checks participants against the registration list. Persons who are not registered must be rejected.
  • You keep a distance of at least one meter
    (People in the same household can be seen as a unit, but they are counted individually).
  • You can not smell or taste mushrooms you have not picked yourself
    (no one else must have touched it either).
  • We encourage the individual to bring their own food and drink.
    (The events will not have refreshments in the form of biscuits, fruit or other food and drink).
  • Wear gloves or disinfect your hands if you are handling mushrooms
    (course material or if mushrooms are sent around to the participants).

 


Carpool:

  • Each individual participant, tour guide, course leader must decide whether they want to be in someone else’s car or have someone with them in their own car.


If carpooling is necessary, we encourage the following rules: 

  • Only three people in each car (driver, one front passenger and one rear passenger).
  • Everyone has their own face mask and disinfectant.
  • Everyone in the car wears their own face mask and disinfects their hands before and after the ride.

Guidelines for detected infection and rules for violations 


All participants are obliged to follow the national guidelines and the local infection control measures of the association.

 

In case of detection of infection:
Covid 19 may be asymptomatic in some people. Those who are infected without being aware of it have not committed an obvious violation of the rules. It is important that those who become ill and / or receive a positive answer during testing contact the chairman of the board by e-mail: maria@tsnf.no or telephone number 977 29 230, as soon as possible.

 

In case of obvious violations:
Several of our volunteers are in the risk group. The association takes obvious violations of infection control at our events seriously.

This applies in particular to those who violate the following provisions:
