Learn how to identify some edible mushrooms, and the dangerous ones.

We invite you to a basic course in mushroom foraging with teaching in English.

Price for members kr 1100, for others kr 1600.

The purpose of the course is to get to know a selection of good edible mushrooms and the most dangerous poisonous mushrooms. After the course, participants should feel confident in these species, be able to pick edible mushrooms and use them for food.

The course consists of both theory teaching and field work, where you will get to help finding mushrooms and learn about the habitats of the different species.

The book «Sopp i skog og mark» (Norwegian) is included in the price.

Preliminary schedule:

Friday 5.09: 17.00 – 21.00
Theory at Gløshaugen

Saturday 6.09:  11.30 – 16.00
We meet at Bratsberg and look for mushrooms. We will go through what we find, make a preliminary sorting and save the rest for the next day

Sunday 7.09:  10.00 – ca. 16.00
Mushroom hunting on campus. Sorting and exhibition making, theory repeat. Dragvoll Idrettsbygg
